Introduction to Moth Detection
'A moth is the brown or grey hairy insect that makes holes in our clothes'. Nothing could be further from the truth! Moths are so much more than that, and there are many different species. During this introduction, you’ll learn a lot more about moths.
On Friday evening, June 5, we’ll start at 10:00 PM by setting up a few traps and we will give some explanation about moths. On Saturday morning, June 6, we’ll meet again at 7:00 AM to see which moths have been trapped, we will count them, and try to identify the different species. Are you curious which species we’ll encounter this year?
Please bring a smartphone with the ObsIdentify app installed and a (head)lamp for the evening activity.
